Snapdragon® 660 Startup Kit

A product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries.

For compute-intensive IoT applications, the Snapdragon 660 startup platform offers top-tier computing power suited to artificial intelligence on the Internet of Things.

The platform consists of a carrier board built around the Quectel LTE SC66 Smart Module (based on the Snapdragon 660 system-on-chip). Compared to previous generations, it is engineered to run Linux applications with up to 30% higher graphics performance and 100% higher downlink speed for LTE and Wi-Fi. Peripheral connectors on the platform accommodate dual cameras, and the Qualcomm® Artificial Intelligence Engine brings high-end processing to machine learning applications. The platform’s sensor interfaces make it a good fit for smart point-of-sale devices, advanced robotics, in-vehicle entertainment and security/surveillance.

The Snapdragon 660 startup kit includes links to all necessary files with full instructions for basic and advanced setup, flashing and compilation. Demo programs cover "Hello World," peripherals and connectivity. Developers can adapt the sample code to their own applications.

Application

Qualcomm® BAM (Bus Access Manager) Low-Speed Peripherals (BLSP) Test Application is an Android application for demonstrating low-speed peripherals using the Qualcomm® MSM8909 and the Snapdragon 660 modem. This sample application with a simple user interface is custom made for demonstrating the JNI operation on QTI hardware while nominally accomplishing testing of UART, I2C, SPI and GPIO.

Snapdragon, Qualcomm MSM8909, Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine, and Qualcomm Bus Access Manager are products of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and/or its subsidiaries.
