The QCS610 development kit offers dual image signal processors (ISPs), video capture and playback at up to 4K@30fps, artificial intelligence, audio codecs, hardware-based security and connectivity.
The kit includes the Qualcomm QCS610 system-on-chip (SoC) with integrated Qualcomm® Kryo™ CPU, Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU and Qualcomm® Hexagon™ DSP. It offers the Qualcomm® Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engine to deliver superior computing power and AI inferencing at the device level.
Developers and manufacturers can now quickly develop smart camera and intelligent IoT devices for applications in smart cities, enterprise, homes and vehicles. The development kit is rich enough in resources to simultaneously run multiple ML models, such as MobileNetV2 SSD for detection, DeepLab v3 for image segmentation and PoseNet for pose estimation.
The QCS610 blends hardware and software to enable AI inferencing at the network edge. In hardware, it runs the Qualcomm AI Engine, built on the Hexagon DSP Vector Processor and the Adreno GPU. In software, the Qualcomm Neural Processing SDK for AI is designed for model conversion and execution, with APIs for matching computing core (CPU/GPU/DSP) to the desired performance profile. The QCS610 offers multiple connectivity options including 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet/RGMII, with future support for 5G.
The QCS610 development kit is a reference design that helps reduce development and integration costs. Developers can use it to keep inferencing workloads on edge devices and address the cloud computing problems of privacy, latency and connectivity.
