Inside the reference design, the Qualcomm Vision Intelligence 300 Platform combines image processing and AI capabilities for use cases like face recognition, face/body detection, object classification and license plate recognition. Engineered for high compute capability at low power consumption, the platform makes heterogeneous computing accessible for running dynamic neural networks (DNNs) and machine language inferencing on the platform’s digital signal processor (DSP).
At the heart of the platform is the Qualcomm QCS603, a member of the first family of Qualcomm Technologies SoCs built with the IoT in mind. It is designed to smoothly integrate power management ICs, audio codec support and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, lowering costs for engineering and bill of materials.
Software included with the reference design includes a manager for integrating third-party video analytic solutions, the Qualcomm® Connected Camera SDK to develop and port connected camera use cases, and the Qualcomm® Neural Processing SDK for AI to optimize deep learning processing across CPU, GPU and DSP. The unit can support up to 4K Ultra HD video capture and playback, audio in/out, optimized low light performance with sHDR and TNR and both Linux and Android operating systems with hardware-based security.
