As a mobile devices enthusiast, I am here to ask Qualcomm to be a real community oriented company.

You are well aware of hardware accelerated UI in the Android 4.0 ICS, that relies heavily on GPU of device. Google, with its AOSP has decided not support Nexus One and related devices. As a user community, we have long stopped relying on HTC and Google to support the devices - this is now a community effort, that brings joy to millions, and is a true development pass time for many.

Since the ICS source outing, many community projects have been started to bring the new platform to older devices, but all of them (for devices based on this and similiar platforms) are missing the proprietary user space drivers, needed for the Hardware Acceleration to work.

I believe it would be a great move for a company like Qualcomm to support advanced users and entusiast in their efforts to port the ICS to Adreno 200 based devices.

I sincerely hope you will at least consider this request and decide to support the community  - the same community that with their enthusiasm helped to make the smartphone market what it is today.

Take into account that we do not ask for much, it just a set of compiled binaries that you surelly have already, or are easy for you to make. We do not expect you to support the release, or do bugfixes. It would be even better if you could supply the source code - but lets not push it too far :)

Best Regards

source codes would be perfect. i dont mean to ask for too much but to be honest, these devices are out of date comparing to the latest releases, "BUT", if its going to be the case where support is going to be dropped by qualcomm then provide us with the source codes to keep suporting it ourselfs and we will most gladly accept :) to keep these line of devices alive (and most importantly, improve the qualcomm produce and benifiting the end user)  I'm a glad owner of a xperia x10 mini pro and would love to have the developing comunity to get there hands on these codes to finish there ICS ROMs. dont let the sources become useless. we are asking to improve the phones that use your product. In the end there are 2 people who gain from this decision. the end user and qualcomms name.we simply want to make something better. and we nee dyour help.

p.s. :) you guys are AWESOME :) SERIOUSLY. for the adreno 2xx libs relase for ICS. we will take care of armv6 for you if you let us. but cant without source, thats the thing. else we would already. but anyways. thanks qualcomm. we the developing comunitty is looking to support you!!!!!!!!!!!

good to see qualcomm wants to improve community and software support by releasing adreno 200 ICS libs

but please release armv6 binaries and/or the source code of adreno 200 ICS libs to show that its a good thing to get devices with qualcomm hardware

Please post the ARMv6 Andreno 2xx binaries so that phones that were only recently manufactured like th ZTE skate can have full support and development. There is no reason why such a new phone should not get ICS. Things like camera binaries should be provided so that developers can improve the breed plus any improvements they make could lead to better future products.

I work as PR manger in LGE company,so i know that relationships with developer and user is a very hard to make and very easy to break, but you will only increase our friendship if u release drivers for ARM v6 based devices!!! How many people tastes ICS on his old phones - how many they buys in near feature based on yours CPUs with better performance and better experience!

Plz,make right decision, make BIG(!!!) PR and surprise all world with releasing drivers for our beloved old phones based on ARM v6!!!
