Goal : My goal is to view the logging data in my PC when the CSRMeshLight application is running

1. I am using DK-CSR1010-10184-1B kit.

2. Enabled logging in CSRMeshLight code by setting the macro DEBUG_ENABLE

3. Connected to board via SPI programmer interface board given in the KIT

4. Opened a putty connection with port as COM10 (as displayed in device manager)

5. Buad rate - 2400 , Data bits - 8,Stopbits -1,Parity - None,Flow Control - None

I am unable to see any logging data in my terminal. I could see the code hitting at DEBUG_STR,DEBUG_U8 methods, but not able to see any data on the terminal.

Can you please help me to resolve this problem

Tskprabhu,

Do you have a PC USB plug virtual UART connected to CSR1010 TX/RX ?

If not, you have to connect it.

SPI does not expose com port from CSR1010.

See https://forum.csr.com/forum/main-category/main-forum/hardware/3218-but-i...

Another way is to tap the following slots

SW_2 for UART RX ,

SW_3 for UART_TX ,

GND for UART ground

I am getting some garbage messages like below. if I use UART connection as follows

UART_RX --- PC TX

UART_TX --- PC RX

Kept Baud rate as 2400

5s'=1åë¿åë¿yY[AeuYoA[}QAeuYY}qu¿==§9§=7¿¿¿y5#-175åëåë¿s-

If I use CSR programmer I  am getting correct data as below.

CSR_MESH_RAW_MESSAGE :c1,0c,92,08,80,ca,af,ce,0f,90,2b,e2,13,57,66,e3,1c,7f,28,e3,4e,d6,97,21,5c,5b,32,

Is someting is doing in CSR programmer.

Appreciate your help.

Regards
Ramakrishna.

Baud rate in CSR1010 and UART receiver side must match.

I tried connecting raspberryPI UART pins with CSR1010 SW_2 and SW_3 .

Used minicom on PI for viewing/sending data.

I ensured that baud rate mentioned minicom and the baud rate in the project *.keyr file is same

Example:

If CSRMesh light project is used  then the file  light_csr101x_A05.keyr must contain

&UART_RATE = 01d9

In Raspberry PI minicom terminal

$sudo minicom –b 115200 –o –D /dev/ttyS0

for testing, short on the PI TX to RX and see that when you send data you also get is 100% ok.

if OK.

Connect PI TX to CSR1010 RX, and PI RX to CSR1010 TX

If it still not working call my Skype nissim.test

FT_PROG is an application to change the inner EEPROM in the USB chip.

It is very dangers to use it. Since it may make your device useless with wrong settings.

You can see the USB deiver loading in windows device manager. It is simpler and safer.
