Hi lingllting,
Could you please provide additional information on your setup as far as the application you are trying to profile(regular GL app, VR, etc.), OS of where you are running the client, adb version, are you using a game engine? Was this a one time issue or is it 100% reproducible? any chance we could get a sample application that could reproduce the behavior?
Thanks,
Carlos
Hi Carlos Dominguez, thanks for your response. Detail information as follows:
Adb version:1.0.39
PC OS:Windows7
Target Application:A unity game app.
My original purpose was to capture a snapshot of a VR game app, but I was told to modify the manifest document to get the permission. But the app was not mine, how can I access the file? So, I tried another unity game app which doesn't have the limitation. And the issue is 100% reproducible, sometimes I can see the snapshot on the snapdragon but soon it crashed because of its process in background.
Is there any log file or something else that I can collect and send to you to help the diagnosis?
I tried to capture a snapshot on Galaxy S7 and got the same result.
Hi lingllting,
I apologize for the delayed response. Adding a permissons to a given app are doable by extracting the APK and then resigning it. I wasn't able to reproduce the issue with a sample Unity application and a S7. Can you please provide the information that you'll get when you launch your app with the following command?
"adb logcat -s Adreno"
Also can you please make sure you have latest updates in your phone?
I had the same problem. I have some notes, a screenshot and an adb logcat file: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=84850625258033254030
This is the full logcat with process of:
> start profiler, connect to phone
> power on phone, start application
> click trace capture
> screenshot successful, dcap capturing about 20% then crash
The same crash condition as above..no useful log..this happens only in some specal Win10 PC .
Process: mono-sgen32 [43806]
