Hello,

I have installed Hexagon SDK2.0 on MSM8952 (Snapdragon 617) device.

While running sample calculator application I get the following out put.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

bgf478@bgf478-HP-ZBook:~$ adb shell /data/calculator 0 1 500

- starting calculator test
adspmsgd not supported
- allocate 2000 bytes from ION heap
- creating sequence of numbers from 0 to 499
- compute sum on the aDSP
- sum = 124750
- compute diff on the aDSP
- diff = -124750
- success

adspmsgd_stop failed
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

It says "adspmsgd not supported".

Further on adblogcat I have come across the following logs.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
01-20 09:06:07.225  5005  5005 E adsprpc : vendor/qcom/proprietary/adsprpc/src/fastrpc_apps_user.c:742::error: -5: 0 == (nErr = dlerr)
01-20 09:06:07.225  5005  5005 E adsprpc : vendor/qcom/proprietary/adsprpc/src/fastrpc_apps_user.c:745:adsp dlopen error: adspmsgd_adsp cannot find libadspmsgd_adsp_skel.so
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Has anybody come across this scenario?

Thank you.
Anuradha.

adspmsgd is a logger utility. the application failed to log using adspmsgd.

But computing sum is passed . If you are looking for logging please share your build details, If not you can ignore adspmsgd failure msgs

Hi Chennak,

Thank you for replying.

Yes I am looking for logging. I am interested in obtainng log messages from ADSP and see how the things are working. (mini-dm.exe also not working with my setup. https://developer.qualcomm.com/forum/qdn-forums/mobile-technologies/mult...)

Can you please let me know, what are the specific build details I need to share with?
I have installed Hexagon SDK2.0 on MSM8952 (Snapdragon 617) device.
adsp FW is pushed to /firmware/images folder.

Please let me know what other information are required.

Thank you.
Anuradha.

Hi Chennak,

I am using Hexagon SDK 2.0 on MSM8952 (snapdragon 617) device.
I am trying to get diagnostic messages generated by Hexagon DSP with mini-dm tool, as follows;

bgf478@bgf478-HP-ZBook:~/Qualcomm/Hexagon_SDK/2.0/tools/mini-dm/Linux_Debug$ ./mini-dm
No devices found

but lsusb lists the device.

Any clues ...?

Thank you.
