The Hexagon tools require the installation of the MSVC Visual C++ Redistributables.  If these are not installed you will see a pop-up error message that says you are missing msvcp120.dll.  The following are insturctions on how to successfully install the redistributables

Hexagon toolchain 7.2.x requires both 32 and 64 bit Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable.

Where do I get the redistributable package?

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributables can be downloaded from the following location:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Note:

1.      At present, the installer wrongly mentions “Microsoft Visual C++ 2012”. It should have been “Microsoft Visual C++ 2013”

2.      Both x86 and x64 packages should be installed

How?Step 1 – Download the MSVC Redistributable

Go to the following site:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Choose the Download button which will take you to the download selection  

Step 2 – Select the files to be downloaded.

Select the vcredist_x64.exe and vcredist_x86.exe and choose the Next button.

Step 3 – Install the packages.

1.      Wait till both of the files have been completely downloaded.

2.      Follow the instructions provided in Microsoft website to install both the packages.

This will place the necessary dlls into the C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folders.

msvcr120.dll is one of the very important file for the Windows operating system. Because this file help to extract the third-party applications. This file also linked with the C++ programming language. Missing file of msvcr120.dll means system won't find this file. Some methods help to resolve this error.
Method 1: Running system file checker using Task Manager. Open Task Manager > Right click on file > Run new task > Open Powershell > Find "Create this task with administrative privileges" > type “sfc /scannow” and hit Enter on Powershell Window. If still, you face the same error then type sfc /verifyonly and wait to process completion.
Method 2: Download MySQL Installer Community because this tool help to detect your system lacks files and recover these files.
