Was hoping devs could update vulkan api from 1.1 to 1.3 since many improvements to api has been made and new performance features introduced, in latest adreno drivers, mainly for Adreno 730 and 740, my samsung flip4 phone would appreciate but also other community members would appreciate it alot

Prior to Android 13 (T), the OS layers prevented the drivers from exposing support for VK1.3. We do support VK1.3 on the latest SoCs that launched with Android 13, such as Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (with Adreno 740). Future announced SoCs should also support VK1.3 from the start. I am unhappy to say that older SoCs like Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (with Adreno 730) are unlikely to see VK1.3 support even with updated drivers. Few OEMs have interest in adding VK1.3 support in driver upgrades for previously shipped devices.
Damn shame , appreciated the reply tho very insightful yet still , still sux tho , wish the best to the dev team Snapdragon has come a long way and is getting better with every gen.
