Yes, there are two images provided by Thundercomm: LU (based on Ubuntu) and LE (based on OpenEmbedded). If you use the Thundercomm SDK Manager to download and flash your images, you can select from LU and LE.

Linaro OpenEmbedded Distro means an open source hardware
RB5's SDK is based on ubuntu, After modification and customization, so it can run on RB5 hardware. If RB5's SDK runs on other open source hardware, it should not work.
