How many simultaneous connections can the QCA4020 do with BT/BLE nodes?

Hi Nahraj,

The allowed maximum number of simultaneous BLE connections is confiugured in NVM Tag 1.

The value is 4 by default. The maximum value is 10.

Please refer Programmer Guide about NVM configurtaion section for BLE.

Thanks

Jayden

is that maximum value of 10 BLE associated devices a limitation of the chip or of the FW?

the 10 max is paired BT/BLE devices correct? If all BLE devices are in advertise mode I assume the limit is much higher correct?

Hi nahraj,

The parameter is about the number of simultaneous connection and it is to restrict memory usage for multiple connections.
If there is no connection like advertising only, the limit is not applicable for that.

Thanks

Hi Everyone ,

Is there any way in which security feature can be implemented on CSR1010 chipset .

I am trying to get connected to CSR1010 (using GATT Server and GAP peripheral profile) using an Android playstore app Called BLE Scanner. I am able to get connected to the chipset using the app without any security passcode or password.

Is there any way to implement the passcode at the server end so that the master authenticates with the same to get paired with CSR1010.
