I would like to run a Lora RF transceiver chip (such as SX1276/SX1261/SX1262) from the QCA4020 via SPI bus is this a valid configuration? The idea is to make a Lora sensor node along with the QCA4020 dual-band Wi-Fi and BT/BLE capabilities. I don't anticipate running all 4 radios simultaneously, but am curious if that is possible anyway.

Hi Nahraj,

Yes, QCA4020 can communicate with external host via SPI.

If the Lora RF transceiver can support hostless mode or requires host chipset?

Thanks

Jayden

Lora Transceiver would be SX1276/1261/1262 type which I believe does not require a host. I have seen nRF52832 BLE modules with SX1276 so I am assuming that the QCA4020 is very similar to the Nordic nRF52832/52840 in that it can run the SX1276 via SPI port.

Hi nahraj,

I have no details about Lora RF transceiver chip but if we only need to connect QCA4020 to Lora RF transceiver via SPI then it may be working.

Thanks
