Does anybody know if I can change the advertising name of my bluetooth interface, after I have initialized the interface? I.e. the MCU starts up, sets up and initializes the interface with a certain name, say "Bob", and then after some specific event (such as user interaction or whatever), the name of the device changes to "Alice". The only way I've found to do that is indirectly through writing the name in the EEPROM at a specific address, resetting the chip, and then reading it back at startup. Is there any more direct, immediate way of doing it?
