HI:

When I use battery as power, connection between Demo App and CSR1010 device will lost after a while.

And device enter a strange state, it could not be discover or reset unless re-flashed.

What reason could be ?

You may consume to much power and the battery CR2032 gets lower than 2V.

Be aware that small batteries have large internal resistances. Thus there can be a large dip in voltage when the BLE chip turns on - for example to transmit data. TI publishes a good application note on this topic: http://www.ti.com/lit/wp/swra349/swra349.pdf

I don't know what happens in practise with a CSR1010 during these voltage dips - does it fail gracefully? It is worrying to read that "it could not be discover or reset unless re-flashed".

What about the "sys_event_battery_low" event? My guess is that this is not a response to a short-term dip in supply voltage during radio activity, but only to a long-term reduction in battery volatge. Does anyone know?

Regards - Charles

Try to use desktop power supply and repeat the tests.
