I've had no reply on twitter so hoped I might get a response if I posted here...

Will qualcomm be posting updated drivers?

Anything better than the "early sample" posted on 1st of August 2012 @ https://developer.qualcomm.com/mobile-development/mobile-technologies/ga...

Thanks

Huh, we provided a response to the person who manages the Twitter account, so I'm not sure why you didn't get an answer.

In any case, an update is coming soon, but I can't provide a specific date at this time.

Thought I'd wait a month before asking again.

'Soon' is such a nebulous concept...

Hello,

I do not want to look to be impatient, but there are several Jelly Bean implementation available on xda-developers since some time, which use this "early sample" driver. They are stable enough for daily usage, however, there are still some graphical problems, e.g. flickering when scrolling in Google Chrome or when using the camera. May I/we provide some assistance, e.g. beta-testing?

Regards

It's now 2013, did you forgot our adreno 220? Google has already released JB 4.2.1 but we can only use our 4.0.x even 2.3.x, why? If you dont have time to build your code, why not try to fully open-source?

Please, Qualcomm release new graphics drivers for Jellybean. We need that, don't forget your old users.

Thanks

I guess this was a lie then?

"It is an early release sample which will be replaced by a new driver binary in the future."

and

"an update is coming soon"

...7 months since this 'sample' was posted

How hard can it be?

Yes, it's nothing but a lie. They are all focus on their new chips, and throw the old chips away.

Qualcomm, i'm very disappointed to you.

Dear Qualcomm,
I would like to kindly ask you, please, if we could know if there will be a new release of Adreno 200 series libraries for JB and, possibly, the release date.
Thank you in advance for your attention.
Best regards.

Christopher

Looks like those drivers didnt work? Or is it just me? I replaced all files with those from the zip, set permissions and made a reboot. But i only get a Black Screen after the splashscreen, and nothing happens?

It requires kernel 3.4.x, so they are only for a3xx or new devices.

Ok, 3.4 Kernel doesnt boot too with these drivers. Blackscreen where the Bootanimation should be.

Yes, some devs said this driver is depend on ION (from kernel 3.4.xx).

Would you please post your kernel's link here?

I still dont know how these drivers are supposed to work. i dont know any device with Kernel 3.4 and ION support. None. Qualcomm i dont know why you made the drivers like that. But this is NOT the way you should help developers.
