Hi All,
I have installed latest ADRENO SDK from the site and was trying to run the sample EXE's provided. However I am facing the following issue while running the exe's:-
Emulator Failure: Could not initialize WGL entry point: wglGetPixelFormatAttribivARB
EglGetConfigs Failed
Please let me know how to tackle it.
It looks like it is related to your graphic driver. Do you have the updated version of your graphics driver installed?
Hi Manju,
Thanks for your reply. I checked the graphics driver on my machine. I have ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 on my machine. I tried to update it and it says that it is up-to-date. Still I am facing the issue. I tried to re-install ADRENO SDK, but still facing the same issue. Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Hi Vrushali,
I'm not sure that your GPU is capable of running the samples. The emulator was recently upgraded to support OpenGL ES 3.0. We implement OpenGL ES on top of desktop GL, and OpenGL ES 3.0 requires that the desktop GPU support at least OpenGL 3.3. According to AMD, your GPU only supports OpenGL 3.2, so I suspect this is why you're having issues running the samples.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for your reply. Do you suggest any work around for this? I am facing problems in getting trained for Adreno. Also is their any documentation available how to use Adreno Profiler. Didn't find anything relevant on qualcomm site.
Thanks
Hi,
I have just ventured into the graphics world . I am trying to setup the Adreno SDK , profiler etc.
I would like to first set it up on my PC( Windows 7 ) ( emulation ) before trying it on real device.
so do we have any documentation for beginers --> Adreno setup pre-requisites, installation steps etc for beginers ?
My PC configuration : Standard VGA Graphics Card Adaptor , GPU GT2+ ,Windows 7.
Thanks

Hi ,
This tool gives you details of the Driver version etc : http://www.realtech-vr.com/support/download.php
I have used this and found that OpenGL Version on my PC is 1.1 . ( Not sure if I can still play around with Adreno SDK)
Thanks

The link provided above is getting refreshed everytime and the icons are not visible. What might be the issue?
Building the Image Effects sample - using Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 on Windows 8
1>c:\adrenosdk\samples\framework\frmapplication.h(78): error C2653: 'Microsoft' : is not a class or namespace name
Is the SDK tested w/ my environment?
Code snippet:
#ifndef WINAPI_FAMILY
[snip]
#else
Microsoft::WRL::ComPtr<ID3D11RenderTargetView> m_windowRenderTargetView;
...
Guessing from poking around that the answer is "no", I switched over to the D3D samples. I got Hello Triangle to run - however I had to add this to FrmFile_Platform.cpp to resolve a reference to FrmFile_Close:
VOID FrmFile_Close( FRM_FILE* pFile, UINT32 nDirection )
{
fclose( pFile );
}
I'm getting the following error when I try and run the PointSprite sample:
LegalArgumentException: unable to find native: PointSprites
Any suggestions?
Works for me...
do you have to download the gl3.0 so libraries onto your device?
mgrossm: No, we have not really tested the SDK with Windows 8 yet. We'll look into resolving the issues you've identified.
What device are you trying to run the sample on? There are only a handful of devices currently available that support OpenGL ES 3.0. The 3.0 samples in the SDK assume that 3.0 support is present on the device, and they don't fail gracefully if that's not the case. The OpenGL ES 3.0 Extension Library in the SDK provides a more robust approach to identifying whether 3.0 support is present before trying to use it.
I have a new Nexus 4 and I'm compiling on and running it from Eclipse on Windows 8. I really want to learn how to make it work. Thanks for your help.
I am getting below build erros with visual studio 2013

How to resolve below build errors ?
