Hello Friends,

I am new to this community,

I wanted to develop an application using Fast CV which should calculate the distance between camera and object ahead camera using Fast CV.

I am looking in to the API of fast Cv but which API will help me out here dont know.

If any body can help me I'll be thankful.

(Note:- iOn Road application has shown the time which is based on the distance if anybody can help me how they have come up with this that will be nice)

Hi, Laxmikant!

I'm suppose, that first of all you need to detect the object, then you must to be able to track the object through video stream, and then you can calculate the distance, by parallax technic.

Algorithms is rather differents. You can search for every point above.

For the tracking api has track*OpticalFlow methods. For the object detection you must think of the algorithm, then adapt it for the current api.
