Please support the dev community by releasing the source code for the adreno
cheers
I was writing a long post about how important the Adreno GPU driver built for Linux 3.0 is for me, but then I saw srdjan _segvic's post, where he already said everything I wanted to say :-) Qualcomm, please, don't leave us, HTC Desire / Desire HD users, behind!
I love my Nexus One, let him live please ...... :)
I'm an owner of a Desire. Still totally happy with my phone hardware, but hope to use the latest software despite there won't be any support from the vendor for such "old" phones.
Therefore I support the request from srdjan_segvic.
Kind regards
As a desire owner I support this request.
Best Regards
i would like to support this request.

These comments echo my sentiments entirely. Please provide the source.
As a HTC Desire owner, i would like to see Qualcomm to support the community and release the needed information to us.
Best Regards
Please let my Desire live so i can desire it
I as a user of the HTC Desire would love to see Android Ice Cream Sandwich working on my phone with hardware acceleration. Release se source code so that developers can keep also a phone thats not 2 years old up to date!!!
Hello,
I also use a HTC Desire, a phone based on the Open Source operating system Android. I can't understand why a company like Qualcomm, that earns so much money with selling hardware for Open Source smartphones, does not provide the driver sources, needed to make use of this hardware.
Please provide the driver sources under an Open Source license, that the users can use your products. Otherwise I've to buy a new, Qualcomm free, smartphone.
Best Regards,
Joerg Wartenberg

As a Desire owner, I agree with the original poster [srdjan _segvic] entirely. I look forward to being able to support Qualcomm with my dollars in the future, as well as recommending them to other Android enthusists, if this happens.
A HTC Desire user also here, Please help us make our Desire better.
Thank you.
Best Regards.

Yet another HTC desire user and uses custom roms. I also would support the request for you to open the driver source code for Adreno which will immensly help the community!
Please Qualcomm, help the HTC Desire Dev's to continue their develpment op the ICS ROM. We would greatly appreciate.
As a proud owner of HTC Desire, and and mobile enthusiast, I believe in the concept of community outreach, and support for older devices. I request Qualcomm to please support advanced users and enthusiast in their effort to port the ICS to adreno 200 devices.
I sincerely hope you make the right decision to support the smart phone community who will count your brand a postive consideration when deciding to buy new devices.
Thanks.
If qualcomm doesnt want to release source code because commercial purposes, at least give us some support binaries to port Android 4.0.
I'm a proud Nexus One owner, and I would also enjoy if Qualcomm could help developers to enhance the user experience of thousands of Adreno 200 based devices owners!
Thanks in advance.
ohh how wonderful would it be to get ICS on some older devices (incl. the HTC Legend)
sooo many devies are Adreno 200 based, pleas open your drivers so no future complains can be made
+1 :)
Qualcomm be generous like you used to be!
Please release those drivers, it would be very good step for everyone, mainly for developers

Releasing the proprietary libs for an outdated gpu would not hurt Qualcomm and would create brand loyalty among the hacker elite. Only positive things can come of this. The reason that android is so successful is the openness of the platform, and I firmly believe that Qualcomm could benefit by supporting their chipsets beyond what is required of them. Knowing my new phone will be able to have the latest and greatest android builds for the life of the hardware is an incredibly strong buying force and would push me in the direction of Qualcomm if they were to make this move. Please strongly consider it.
Thank you.
I am here to ask Qualcomm to be a real community oriented company, to support advanced users and entusiast in their efforts to port the ICS to Adreno 200 based devices. I sincerely hope you will at least consider this request and decide to support the community
I would like to express my support for this respect. Please be so kind and bussiness oriented to release drivers. It will be greatly appreciated and generate free positive publicity.
We really need that! :)
I am yet another HTC Desire user who wishes for these sources to be released to enable ROM developers to produce working, fast ROMs.
Please listen to us.
I fully support this request. Please be so kind to assist our community.
Best regards,
Erik Huemer

As an owner of HTC Desire from PVT1 batch, I respect the ROM modders and coders out there, especially for creating such exciting variations. My Support is with them, Qualcomm, go open-source.
I support the Request, too.
Releasing the Source for Adreno 200 whould be great.
I support the request for hardware acceleration libraries. It would be viewed as a great contribution by the community.
Thanks!
Dan
as owner of the htc desire i support this request for sources of the gpu
I also kindly ask you to release ICS-compatible binaries. They will be released sooner or later (with update for Samsung Ace for example), so why not help the community right now, when it matters? I imagine it's not that much work to recompile them for new kernel. Please consider our request and help the community.
Hey Qualcomm,
as srdjan _segvic already said:
"I sincerely hope you will at least consider this request and decide to support the community - the same community that with their enthusiasm helped to make the smartphone market what it is today."
It would be great if you release the drivers!
Greets
Please help the Dev comunity by providing the necessary files for ICS ROM building.
Consider this my adhesion to the petition.
Thank you.
Please relese all the source for the ADR6300. would be much appreciated!
Developers do great work for the Android community but without this source we are at a loss with development for an ICS build.
Please release source so we can continue to build for this community.
