Thanks for providing such a convenient desktop software tool.
However, is there any document describing the metrics given by the analyzer? For instance:
- Instruction stats
- Main Body stats
- All Instructions: 308, 566 (rpt), ratio 1.84
- ALUs : 41, 42 (rpt), ratio 1.02
- Half ALUs : 126, 162 (rpt), ratio 1.29
- Total NOPs : 41, 176 (rpt), ratio 4.29
- NOPs : 30, 147 (rpt), ratio 4.90
- Post-NOPs : 11, 29 (rpt), ratio 2.64
- MOV class : 75, 150 (rpt), ratio 2.00
- MOVs : 48, 76 (rpt), ratio 1.58
- FPConverts: 8, 32 (rpt), ratio 4.00
- Half MOVs : 27, 74 (rpt), ratio 2.74
- CMP : 15, 15 (rpt), ratio 1.00
- Texture Instrs: 14, 14 (rpt), ratio 1.00
- imm : 14
- imm_a : 14
- array : 4
- isam : 14
- Loads/Stores : 8, 32 (rpt), ratio 4.00
- stib : 8, 32 (rpt), ratio 4.00
- stibsize : 128
- memory_stAllsize : 128
- EI Position : -1
- Flow Instrs : 14
- BRAO Instrs : 1
- Short sync flags: 8
- Long sync flags : 4
- Full Registers : 16
- Half Registers : 31
- uGPR Registers : 4
- Unified Regs : 16
- Total footprint : 256
- Single GPR Pool : 1
- Wave sizes : 64
- Max num of waves: 12
- Maximal Waves : 6 (A6x)
I don't think sombody can distinguish between "Max num of waves" and "Maximal Waves" if there's barely any documents.
Bumping! it would be great to have more information about the meaning of the stats that are provided by this tool.
Hi,Don't you get the doucments about this tool? I also can't understand this paramters...
Let me check with internal team if we can publish some describing document for such kernel analyer metrics.
Update you later soon.
Thanks

If it is difficult to get a document can we have blog explaining the terms of the kernel analyzer.
Thanks
