Hi All,

we have a device based on APQ8016 using separate eMMC & LPDDR3 design. Recently we faced issue with EMMC replacement that has different number of sectors, so we needed to generate new GPT file, but can't really find information how to properly do it with officail Qualcomm tools.

We have tried tools (ptool, mps) for 96boards - they did not work, i.e. they generate wrong format of rawprogram.xml file.  We have also searched CodeAurora and ChipCode for some help - no luck. Currently we are using "GPTAnalyzer" tools that can be found on internet and they seem to work, but we would need some official tools. 

Bascially the question is how to create "partitions.txt" and convert it to "partitions.xml" file with proper format? Which tool to use? There is also needed a "patch.xml" file that contains some additional information - where can we find info on how those files should look like?

Hi customer,

partition.xml should be generate in common\config\ufs\

For convert way, you can refer to
