Hello, I am considering purchsing Snapdragon 888 dev kit. I did not find a thread dedicated to development kits in hardware forums, so I am asking my question here. Please redirect me if this is the wrong place. My questions are:

1. Will I be able to obtian root user permissions on the Android 11 OS of the Snapdragon 888 mobile development kit? I am talking about running commands adb shell and then su root to gain root permissions on underlying linux terminal?

2. Can I use the dev kit to profile the CPU using Android's simpleperf tool (that is why I need root permissions)?

Specific questions around the Snapdragon 888 hardware development kit are better suited for Lantronix since they are manufacturing the kit. Support resources for Lantronix can be found here: https://www.intrinsyc.com/support/
