My device is Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 Pro with Snapdragon 636 processor which comes with X12 LTE Modem which does support 3x20mhz downlink carrier aggregation and 2x20 mhz uplink carrier aggregation. But in the device it is disabled in the software or firmware (i don't know that which one is used to disable it ) . So my Question is "Is there any way for me to enable it using a software mod or change some code to enable it?"
So if there is any way plz let me know. There is a video on YouTube doing this on Xiaomi's MiA1 but i tried that method and it doesn't work.
Hey,
Actually this QDN category is for LTE Broadcasting/eMBMS.
Do you have access to our salesforce Customer engineering support portal? If yes you can raise case to the correct team.
Let me check internally if there is any QDN link for Carrier aggregation team (L1/L2). I'll redirect query to them.
Thanks,
Vikrant
Dear Customer,
I'm afraid this is not the correct forum to address this carrier aggregation customization query . yes, we have configuration files for altering this CA band combinations but i 'm not sure if that OEM's keep open to the very end customers as those are secure boot devices.
Best approach is to contact your OEM (Xiaomi) and they can ask for QC input on this and we can followup via that channel on any customizations allowed for users.
Thanks,
