Hi

In my application (station  only) to evaluate goodness of connection to AP I would like to monitor RSSI

At this purpouse I use this qapi

qapi_WLAN_Get_Param(DEVICE_ID,
__QAPI_WLAN_PARAM_GROUP_WIRELESS,
__QAPI_WLAN_PARAM_GROUP_WIRELESS_RSSI, &rssi, &rssiLen)

And I noticed that returned value is typically comprised from 5 to 50dBm

How can transcode this to a value more adherent to reality (tipically from -20 to -90 dBm)

Thanks

You need to add -96 to the reported RSSI to achieve transcoded RSSI in dBm.

Example:
RSSI reading=25 ->  25-96 = -71 dBm
RSSI reading=64  ->  64-96 = -32 dBm
