Hi,

If I use the snapdragon 820 with a carrier board where I can plug 3 monocular cameras, can I run the Stereo Auto-Calibration (SAC) (new in v1.1.4) and the Depth From Stereo (DFS) for cameras 1 & 2 and cameras 2 & 3 ?

Will the VISLAM work with cameras 1 & 2 or camera 2 & 3 ?

Will the snapdragon be powerful enough?

Thanks, Alex

All three algorithms that you mention (CAC, DFS, and VISLAM) can work with any of the cameras or camera combinations.  That will not be a problem as long as you get the calibrations and configurations all correct.  We have run all three of those together on the 820 so there is enough computational power.  The 820 version of MV also supports GPU offloading of DFS so one should use that option which can support frame rates up to 100 FPS @ QVGA resolutions or 30 FPS @ VGA.
