I am using the SX-ULPGN-EVK kit. I have successfully used the FTDI C232HD cable to program the module, but I would like to use my JLink Base with a ONCE adapter board, 20 to 14 pin. I got it to work once but it now seems likes it hangs through the flashing process. Is there a way to configure the JLINK to be more reliable?

Below was the procedure for flashing QCA4010(RB01/RB02) board using JATG. The procedure was also explained in the release notes of 4010.
Before start, make sure the Xtensa OCD and JTAG are correctly configured.
Board setup
1. Set up the SP240 board switch.
2. Set up the jumper so that board EJTAG is enabled and bootstrap is in hostless mode.
Pull on the Jumper connecting JP4.2&3(HOST0), JP3.2&1(HOST1) to make SP241/SP242 module in hostless mode. Pull on the Jumper connecting JP5.2&1(1.2VMOD), JP7.2&3(EJAG), JP31.2&3(IOT).
3. Use a type-B USB cable to connect PC USB port and SP240 POWER-USB USB port to power up the SP240 board.
4. Use a USB JTAG Wiggler to connect PC USB port and JP25 of the SP240 board.
Flashing procedures
Before start, make sure the Xtensa OCD daemon is up and running on a Windows or Linux machine. On Linux machine:
1. Navigate to the binary image folder.
cd target/image
2 Run the following command to flash the image.
xt-gdb -x gdb.sdk_flash
target remote <Xtensa_host_IP>:20000
(xt-gdb) sdk_flash ../bin/<raw_flashimage*>.bin
3. Wait until xt-gdb prints “sdk_flash is DONE”.
4. Reset the board.
(xt-gdb) reset
(xt-gdb) cont

Your step 4 is JTAG Wiggler not JLINK Base....

JTAG Wiggler is officially supported . As you told, once JLINK worked for you. Can you please let us know the exact steps you have followed to flash. So that we can try to replicate this .
