my environment:

adb 1.0.32

snapdragon profiler(sp) 1.6.1

snapdragon425 smartphone.

realtime mode is OK, all processes are presented.

but in trace mode and snapshot mode, this is not a single process!

and error messgae: no eligible processes found.

how can I get over it?

Snapshots and per-process trace metrics are only supported for apps that create an OpenGL context, so you will only see those apps in the process list in those modes. If you are running an OpenGL app, please ensure you connect to the device with Snapdragon Profiler first, then start your app. Also, your app must have internet permissions enabled.

Hi, thanks for reply.

I'm using Unity3D to make a simple 3D scene app, in which there is a rotating car.

isn't that "creating an OpenGL context"?

And I have tried your advice but it still not work.

what do you mean by saying "internet permissions" ?

anyway, today I will moving on to and try the adreno profiler.

I have figured out the "internet permissions" thing which is also required by adreno profiler.

now I can profile my 3D app with adreno profiler now.

but with snapdragon profiler, things remain unchanged.

I still get a "no eligible processes found".

So what should I say....

Snapdragon 425 phones have Adreno 308 GPUs. Snapdragon Profiler snapshot functionality requires Adreno 400 family and above. For users with Adreno 300 GPUs we recommend continue using Adreno Profiler.

I am having exactly the same issue with Samsung S7 (SD 820 / Ad 530), Android N. No eligible processes while running ANY GL app (yes, I start the SP first).

@artem.bolgar did you make sure the GL enabled apps in question have internet permission enabled in the AndroidManifest.xml?

I'm having the same problem, my manifest file has the lines:

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" />

and I'm on a samsung s5, which has an ardeno 420 chip, I believe. However, 'no eligible processes found'

Any tips?
