Has anyone used CSR Mesh for location tracking? A few below APIs would enhance location tracking applications -

  1. CSR Mesh API to get the RSSI of a message.
  2. CSR Mesh API/Event to know if the received mesh message was received by the node directly or was a relayed message in the mesh.

Anyone can help suggest if the following APIs are currently available?

CSRmesh was not design for location of device relative to other. RSSI of message will not help here

Location tracking can be implemented in CSR Mesh in certain apllications.

Here are some tips -

1. CSR Mesh - Ping Model provides us the RSSI and TTL.

2. Stock BLE - LM_EV_ADVERTISING_REPORT_T does provide the RSSI.

With CSR Mesh - Ping Model RSSI and TTL or LM_EV_ADVERTISING_REPORT_T you can't triangulate position, You need 3 reference point and CSR Mesh does not support that. Call my Skype nissim.zur I will explain more
