Simulator - Stalls due to IU_fetch_cross

Hi,

I'm using the simulator provided in Hexagon SDK v2.0 to simulate execution of a v4 Hexagon DSP, to compare execution of a benchmark compiled with two different compilers.

The simulator reports a difference in stalls due to IU_fetch_cross, which is explained in the manual as "Stalls due to jump target packet crossing 128-bit alignment".

Is this documented further somewhere or can someone elaborate on why these stalls occur?
