How to get/set parameters in CAPIv3 using Android

When building a custom module in CAPIv2, it's possible to get/set parameters from Android using this API: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/AudioManager.html 

The audio add-on documentation is quite clear, and even an example app is provided (audiocal). 

Now, CAPIv3 and QACT v8 seem to be very different from CAPIv3/QACT <8, for example we no longer have topologies, we have graph and subgraph. In the documentation I found no reference to a method to get/set parameters in this setup.  

Any insights on how to do it?
