Hi,
With Android 7.0, there seems to have been a new dependency on Snapdragon LLVM compiler that has been introduce in the proprietary section of Qualcomm's release (which we have access to since we are a partner). Unfortunately I don't see a macOS-friendly version of the compiler on the developer website. Could you please provide a link to it, or suggest how I can go about circumventing this dependency.
Thanks,
KG
Hi there. Unfortunately, it does not seem that Qualcomm plans to create a Mac-compatible version of the Snapdragon LLVM Compiler at this time. However, you can exclude the SDCLANG := true flag on Mac OS X environments, by using ifneq ($(HOST_OS),darwin).
Without knowing more about your environment, I can't say exactly where you have that flag defined, but if it is msmcobalt, you will find that here: https://source.codeaurora.org/quic/la/platform/vendor/qcom/cobalt/tree/B...
Otherwise, it would be in vendor/qcom/proprietary/common in either config/device-vendor.mk or in the BoardConfigVendor.mk corresponding to your SoC. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
