Problem: Application crashes as soon as the GL information is displayed on the right side (Options panel) - GL General Information, GLES Information (any process except "System" is chosen).

Configuration:

Device: LG Nexus 5x  (Snapdragon 808, Adreno 418) – Android 7.1.1

System (PC): Windows 7/10 (64-bit)

ADB: version 1.0.32

Snapdragon Profiler: v1.6.0.1232017

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Connect Nexus 5x to PC
  2. Run Snapdragon Profiler
  3. Go to File->Connect
  4. Wait for the first phase of connection
  5. Click “Connect”
  6. Connection established
  7. Wait a few seconds (sometimes it takes a little longer) – running any game in this state causes immediate crash.
  8. As soon as the GL information is displayed on the right side (process/application/game is chosen [Options panel]) application crashes.

I hope the problem will be solved soon (I’d like to use Snapdragon Profiler in my master's thesis).

PS: I also noticed that Snapdragon Profiler, Trepn Profiler and App Tune-up Kit are not able to collect data about GPU (e.g. GPU load). So maybe problem is related to GPU (Adreno 418).

Hi, your question might be related to (https://developer.qualcomm.com/forum/qdn-forums/software/snapdragon-prof...) but just to confirm, is your PC in another locale other than English? If so, please hold on and we will be releasing a new version soon (Snapdragon Profiler 1.6.1) that includes a fix for this particular issue.
