QCompress is no longer working on OS X 10.11.6. When you double-click it, nothing seems to happen. Possibly it runs and exits immediately. It has been a while since I last tried to use it. There have probably been several OS X updates since then.
I just downloaded SDK version 5 to see if that fixed the problem. It doesn't.
