Hi,

I have a doubt related to multiple work groups executing on same compute unit. Is this possible?.

For example, i have a compute unit, which has 128 processing elements, if i have enqueued 2 commands with different kernels (out of order command queue ), in which both kernel doesn't need 128 processing elements to process the data, is there a chance, both the kernels will be executed at a time, by the processing elements of same compute unit?

i got doubt as its mentioned in opencl doc " work group instances are executed in parallel across multiple compute units or concurrently on the same compute unit ".

Thanks,

Shabuddin Shaik.

one more doubt i have, not only in case of out-of-order execution, even if we have two different command queues of same context, in this case also, will the workgroups of different commands from different queue share same compute unit to run parallely? can any one explain me it in detail.

Thanks,

Shabuddin Shaik.
