Hello,

I'm trying to profiling Adreno 530 when turn camera on in V20 which is Android N.

I follow the instructions for profile Adreno 530 such as internet permision and qti permision, also I checked egl debug property when I connected Adreno profiler Ver 4.0.

The simple test app is crashed when I connect Adreno profiler to target phone. It meas the app doesn't launched. However, if i didn't connect it, the app works well. I know the point is debug.egl.profiler option is changed, when I connect Adreno profiler to device.

So, my point is why simple app is crashed while debug.egl.profiler is 1. It just android hello world app and I put the permissions in manifest file.

Can I profile Adreno 530 in Android N for using Adreno profiler ver 4.0? If I can do it, what kind of things do I have to check?

I read them all in AdrenoProfiler.chm file.

Thanks.

We recommend using Snapdragon Profiler (https://developer.qualcomm.com/software/snapdragon-profiler), which has the same capabilities as Adreno Profiler plus many more.

I already did it to use Snapdragon Profiler. You mean that when I use sanpdragon profiler, I don't need to be set debug.egl.profiler is 1?

Sanpdragon profiler works well to me without the value set.

Thanks.

The debug.egl.profiler property is set automatically by both Adreno Profiler and  Snapdragon Profiler. You don't have to set the value yourself.

So just to clarify, you're saying that Snapdragon Profiler is working fine for you?
