Is it possible to create a pbuffer surface via the GLES emulator?

You should be able to create a pbuffer in our emulator, as the signature for eglCreatePbufferSurface exists in egl.h .

Admittingly we don't have any samples that use it, as there are better and much more optimized methods for rendering to surfaces including the use of Frame Buffer Objects.

Thanks for the response. Even though the sig is present in the headers, I was not able to obtain any framebuffer configs that support pbuffer ( EGL_PBUFFER_BIT ). The configs returned are only able to support EGL_WINDOW_BIT. I am already using FBO for my offscreen and the reason from the pbuffers is to create a small offscreen surface to tie to a secondary EGL context since a surface is required by eglMakeCurrent.
