Downloaded the SDK on Friday (Aug 3). Attempted to build the samples, and got this error:

Digging around in the SDK, I find that these are tools that look like they're meant to be built from source in the SDK, in the tools directory, so I attempt to build them and find that the VS2010 project fails to load them because it wants to import projects called "Tools_..." from the Tools/Build/VS2010 folder that aren't in the SDK distribution.
What to do?
We are fixing this now and will have a release for the problem very soon (hopefully this week).
This is fixed in the new 3.3.3 release.
