Hi,

I want to use the streaming texture capabilities on adreno 200 and adreno 205 for a video player. Are their any resource how to use streaming textures with opengles2.0?

A demo source would be helpfull.

There are variations in the commercialization of this solution so depending on the device that you have, it may or may not support this extension. So if you want to have a cross platform solution, currently the only way to get this to work is with the very slow buffer copy.

thanks for replying. We have done the software path with the slow buffer copy. But it is to slow on the nexus one.

We would like to have optimized software paths for hardware which supports better solutions. But there are lack of documentation for extensions which  are promising better performance. Like GL_IMG_texture_stream (I wonder what GL_QUALCOMM_direct_texure is). Please could you provide more information on these extensions or give a link to documentations?

In the document "optimize-for-adreno.pdf" is an advice "See Qualcomm's Application Developers Guide for Adreno 200 for more information", but I can't find that document for downloading. Is there a public version of that document?

By the way, do Qualcomm have a partner program with independent software vendors? Would this be a solution to get detailed informations about the adreno chipset?
