Calling all AT&T Hackers

Have an idea that will shape the tech future? Come to the AT&T Shape Hackathon July 15-16 to compete for over $80K in cash and prizes. As part of the hackathon, the Qualcomm Developer Network is sponsoring a challenge to put your skills and creativity to the test using the processing power of a smartphone.

Qualcomm Technology Challenge

The Qualcomm Developer Network invites you to a smart city IoT challenge. Develop a solution utilizing the DragonBoard™ 410c that both a Mayor's Office and citizens can use on a day-to-day basis to improve the livability, sustainability and connectedness in a city. Entries should make use of the connectivity available with the DragonBoard 410c as well as components provided in the IoT hardware kit.

To help you navigate the many tools developers can use while developing in the IoT space, Qualcomm Developer Network hosted a webinar which provided an inside look at the DragonBoard 410c and outlined all the different types of hardware and components that will be offered in the IoT hack kit. Getting started:

  • Linux installation – select the Micro SD card with Linux from your hack kit and follow the instructions to install from a microSD card, skipping steps 1-6 because we’ve done that work for you.
  • Android installation – Android is preloaded on the DragonBoard 410c. If you remove Android and wish to re-install it, visit the Qualcomm table to get a Micro SD card with Android. Then follow the instructions to install from a microSD card, skipping steps 1-6 because we’ve done that work for you.
