Can Adreno be used for comparing two consecutive frames of 1024*768 rgb 888 data?  We need to compare each R and G and B pixel in frame-n to a pixel in frame-n+1.  The comparison may be, exactly the same, top 3 bits the same, etc.  Once the comparison is done the result must be stored a one bit of an output table.

Is this routine impossible to do in Adreno?  Is it better to do this in the ARM CPU?

Thanks,

Peter

You might see if you can implement streaming textures in your app, and then write a shader that can compare the two textures.
