Hi,
I have couple of questions on Production line programming of CSR1010.
- Instead of programming EEPROM through CSR can a preprogrammed EEPROM be soldered on the board?
- Are CSKey values stored on EEPROM or CSR RAM?
- Does anyone have any recommendations on the Gang programmer best suitable for CSR1010?
Any input or guidelines on production line programming is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sanika
Hi TriTek
1. Instead of programming through CSR can a preprogrammed EEPROM be soldered on the board?
Yes of course. But note that every EEPROM must have unique MAC.
2. Are CSKey values stored on EEPROM or CSR RAM?
on EEPROM. Ram clear on power off.
3. Does anyone have any recommendations on the Gang programmer best suitable for CSR1010?
call my Skype nissim.test I will guide you make a fast and low-cost gang
Hi Dr. Nissim,
Thank you for the reply.
One quesion on EEPROM: Why do I need unique MAC for EEPROM? If I am able to code unique BADDR in every EEPROM would that be sufficient?
Thanks,
Sanika
Unique MAC for EEPROM is BLE rule.
Phone OS will confuse if 2 BLE devices will be on the same aria with same MAC
Other parameters that may be unique per devices is crystal calibration, but if all PCBs has same production line crystals, it may be the same.
If the BLE is a beacon, it will need also unique UUID.
It is not that simple to make a unique MAC per EEPROM, since CSR add CRC that included the MAC.
any recommendation how to get a gang programmer for implementing a production line programming to multi units at the same time
