Uplinq Update
I've been hanging out at Uplinq for the past two days. I'm moderating 3 sessions and also did a stint at the QDevNet booth in the Mobile Innovation Showcase. Met a number developers working on interesting applications. I have also had a chance to sit in on some interesting sessions.
Here is a brief summary of two key sessions I attended:
The Importance of Where: Creating Immersive Useful and Fun Experiences with Location
In the panel on location, there was a good discussion about the relevance of location in today's applications, including comments on 'Check-ins', It was interesting to hear the panelist's views on how location has evolved over the past 10 years, and where it is going.
An Intro to Snapdragon™ 8x55 Mobile Development Platform
Bsquare spoke on the availability of the MDP. They also mentioned they are raffling off 10 devices to people who visited their booth. Of greater interest to me was the demonstration of Trepn Profiler, the on-target Profiling application that will be available with the MDP. Our team has been working on this tool for the past few months. I was pleasantly surprised at the excitement around the capability of this tool and the relevance to developers. I'll talk more about this in a future blog.
Over the next few weeks, I'll blog about key sessions I attended, as will other members of the team. If you are here at Uplinq, hope to see you at Qfest tonight - looking forward to seeing Train.
